About project
In addition to Tiyanjane Nursery School, run by help2kids, Lifuwu also has two other nursery schools. Chisomo Nursery School is located next to one of the primary schools, and has been operational since 2008. The school is held in an old pump house with an unsecured door and windows, and has dirty, graffiti-covered walls. The children learn from a broken blackboard. Despite having virtually no resources, the children perform well and are adequately prepared for entering Standard 1 due in large part to the hard work and dedication of their teachers and to the curiosity and drive of the young learners.
Your Impact
For USD 4500 we can extend the building so there is more learning space for the 50+ students, repair and paint the walls, install a door for the safekeeping of supplies, and repair the broken chalkboard.
